He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Lucille Herrick Derry and Richard Hall Derry; his brother Richard Derry; and his siblings-in-law, Claire Derry and Michael O'Shea.
He is survived by: his children, Susan Pesnichak (John) of Alexandria, VA, Kate Dinar (Josh) of Boulder, CO and Peter Herrick Derry (Cecilia Menniti) of Charleston, SC.; his siblings, John Derry (Lois Schiappa) of Sudbury, MA, Tom Derry (Carole) of Lexington, MA, Julie O'Shea (Derry) of Worcester, MA and Susanne Hughes (James) of Harwich, MA.; and his grandchildren, Samuel Joseph Derry, Mason Riley Dinar, Levi Derry Dinar, Palmer Janna Derry and Marley Luna Derry. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, his children's friends.
