With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ray Newman Easter (Mount Pleasant, South Carolina), who passed away on March 22, 2026 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Lee and Dorothy Easter (Nowlin); his wife Martha "Marty" Gallimore Easter; and his son Stephen Lowell Easter. He is survived by: his children, Jana Vetter (Jeff) of Knoxville, Tennessee and Marcell Easter (Susan) of Bluffton; his daughter-in-law Cathy Gilbert Easter of Greensboro; his grandchildren, Alex Vetter, George, Max Easter, Catherine Hamlin (John) and Ellen Jones (Laughton); and his great grandchildren, Ellis, Albee, Wells Jones, Jack and Henry Hamlin.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Ray's memory to Water Mission, 1150 Molly Greene Way, Building 1605, North Charleston, SC 29405.
