He was predeceased by: his parents, J. Frank Blakely and Freddie Allen Blakely. He is survived by: his wife Judith Robinson Blakely; and his nieces and nephews, Cindy Boatwright (Michael), Carolyn Haar, Sherry Blackford (Henry), PJ Boatwright (Cathy) and Chip Allen (Julia).
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel (1494 Mathis Ferry Rd, Mt Pleasant, SC 29464). A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Greenlawn Memorial Gardens (1300 Fernwood Glendale Rd, Spartanburg, SC 29307).
