He was predeceased by: his father James Edgar Carter; and his grandparents, Reece, Hertha Merritt Carter, Wesley Hosford, Clyde William Ford, Evelyn Marguerite Bookout Ford of Birmingham, AL. and Joyce Summers Hosford.
He is survived by: his mother Jeri Faye Carter; his stepmother Kitte Hosford Carter (Tallahassee); his sons, Benjamin Bryant Carter and Harrison Reece Carter of Carmel, IN; his siblings, Peggy Carter Claborn (Joe), Sundae Minton McMillan (Craig), Mike Carter (Tina) of Montgomery, AL and James William Carter; his nieces and nephews, Morgan Frances Carter of Atlanta, GA, Carter Marin McMillan, James Benjamin Carter, Connor Hosford McMillan (Jazmyn) of Monticello, FL and Bryan Claborn (Bridget); his great-niece Addison Lee Peterkin (Tallahassee); his great-nephew Cayden Ja'Mari McMillan; his cousins, Brandi Hosford Fristoe and Tiffany Hand of Topeka, KS; his former wife Allyson Carter; and his friends, Jimmy "LJ" Christo Jr., Cathy Christo, Paul Christo (Christine) and Bryant Withers of Highlands, NC.. He is also survived by his family, his friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Historic Wesleyan Methodist Church (21258 Roberts St, Hosford, FL 32334). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Grace Methodist Church (18661 NE State Rd 65, Hosford, FL 32334).
