He was predeceased by: his parents, James David McNairy and Audrey Porter McNairy; his sons, Edward "Ted" McNairy and Jim McNairy; and his brothers, Jimmy McNairy, Sam McNairy and Charles McNairy.
He is survived by: his children, Doug McNairy of Mt. Pleasant, Lynn McNairy King (Tony) of Charlotte, NC and Porter McNairy of Greensboro, NC; and his sisters, Mary Lamb (Wally) and Margaret Luebke (Rick). He is also survived by seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
