He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Coaxum and Susie Maxwell; and his son Jose Wrighten. He is survived by: his daughter Joy Coaxum; and his siblings, Rose Marie Bright, Phil Coaxum, James Coaxum (Jeanette), Lonnie Coaxum (Anna) and Frank Coaxum. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Viewing was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Sr. Memorial Chapel (4129 Highway 17 North, Awendaw, SC 29429). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens (1308 Mathis Ferry Rd, Mt Pleasant, SC 29464).
