He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren Floyd Sams and Caroline Wood Sams. He is survived by: his spouse Kelly Cameron Sams; his daughters, Caroline Elizabeth Sams Briggs (Pike) of Daniel Island and Stephanie Cameron Sams (Jack H. Bormet) of Mount Pleasant; his grandchild Kennedy Grace Briggs; and his brother Richard Sams (Lynn) of Valrico, Florida..
