As Susan departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Susan may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Susan leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, D. Charles Shaw, Sr. and Elizabeth Winship Cole Shaw. She is survived by: her husband Jim Hufham; her daughter Elizabeth; her son-in-law Chip of Charleston; and her grandson Charlie Davis. She is also survived by stepbrothers, in-laws, nieces, and nephew.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, May 17th 2026 from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM at the Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens (1308 Mathis Ferry Rd, Mt Pleasant, SC 29464).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
