He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Alfred and Margaret Ann Vaughn Chapman; his sister Sheree Yolanda Moses; and his brother-in-law Keith Harvey. He is survived by: his wife Angela "Angie" Elrod Chapman; his siblings, Cletus Chapman and Deirdre Harvey; and his stepmother Irene Chapman.
