Janie left this world on November 1, 2025 at the age of 80, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. In the sacred silence of farewell, Janie is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. She was predeceased by: her mother Gladys Ammons; her son Kenneth Lee Brown; her grandson Dawson Brown; and her brother Lewis Ammons. She is survived by: her husband Lewis Brown of Mullins; her children, Dwayne Brown (Lori) of Mullins, Glenda Watson (Ken) of Myrtle Beach and Kevin D. Brown of Mullins; and her siblings, Neta Byrd of Latta and Dale Caulder of Alabama. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cox-Collins Funeral Home (715 S Main St, Mullins, SC 29574). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Mullins Church of God (952-998 Sandy Bluff Rd, Mullins, SC 29574).
