He was predeceased by: his parents, David Bethea and Mary Bethea; and his siblings, Winslow Bethea, Susie Mae Wilson, Rodia Ann Givens, Joyce Baines, Shirley Legette and Avon B. Jennings.
He is survived by: his daughters, Tina Bethea and Beth Bethea of Florence, SC; and his siblings, Comelena Holton and Ben Bethea (Annie Mae) of Marion, SC. He is also survived by four grandchildren, one great grandchild.
