She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Vereen, Sr. (Bessie B. Vereen) and Bessie B. Vereen; and her siblings, Henry Vereen, Jr., Mary Reaves and Phyllis McNeil.
She is survived by: her husband Troy Reaves, Jr.; her children, Troy Reaves, III and Trinal Reaves-Edwards (Franklin) of Portsmouth, VA; her granddaughters, Zarria, Mia and Maegan Edwards; her great grandchild Zayden Phillip "PJ" Edwards-Murphy; her sisters, Betty Chisolm of Bronx, NY and Anneal Vereen of Mulins, SC; and her sister-in-law Willa Dean Genwright of Mullins, SC. She is also survived by extended family, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
