She was predeceased by : her father Reverend Hassie Gerald; and her siblings, Gary Gerald (Emma Jean), O'Neal Gerald (Fronnie), Aubrey Gerald (Lucille), Carel Gerald (Mabel) and Doris Brown (Sylvester).

She is survived by : her sisters, Miriam Gerald and Betty Dukes; her nephews, Kevin Gerald (Dee-Dee) and Jeremy Dukes; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Kennedi Muldrow, Peyton Robinson, Joshua Brewington, Kevin Gerald Jr., Na'Kevia Gerald, Dylan Brown and Logan Brown.
