She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Gennings Strickland and Agnes Mary Winters; and her son Joseph Wayne Gordon, Jr.. She is survived by: her husband Roger D. Hughes; her daughter Pattie Gordon; her brothers, Charlie Strickland, III (Maria), John Strickland, Sr. and Bobby Strickland, Sr. (Jan); and her grandchildren, Taylor Cabanaw, Renae Nance (DJ), Lauren Johnson and Brittany Gordon (Hannah). She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; as well as an army of nieces, nephews and cousins.
