He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Darby and Kiku Ueda Darby; and his brother Thomas Lester Darby Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Linda; his stepson Russell M. Haywood (Melissa Leary Haywood); his sons, Jackson Robert and Hunter James; and his sisters, June Darby, Ruth Eliason (Nils), May Sikora (John), Carol Robinson (Stephen) and Elizabeth Darby. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Michael Catholic Church (542 Cypress Ave, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576).
