He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Lawton and Bernice Lawton (Earl); and his former wife Charlene Lawton. He is survived by: his wife Carol Lawton of Murrells Inlet, SC; his son Matthew Lawton (Caelyn) of Myrtle Beach, SC; his stepchildren, Dale Lewis (Amy) of Colorado, Shawn Lewis (Norma) of Texas, Vicki Fairbanks (Brian) of Massachusetts, Bernice Cross of Maine, Kimberly Lavigne (Norman) of Connecticut, Matthew Yarnell of Arizona and Christopher Robinson of Arizona; and his siblings, Sandra Norridge (Ontario) of London and Russel Lawton of Winnipeg. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great‑grandchildren.
