With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Deborah Strickland (Murrells Inlet, South Carolina), born in Conway, South Carolina, who passed away on May 9, 2026 at the age of 68. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Deborah Strickland to pay them a last tribute.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Deborah shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Deborah farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lemuel Strickland and Winnie Bell Strickland; her siblings, Linda Bell Cook and Lemuel "Bug" Strickland; and her nephew Daniel Strickland.
She is survived by: her significant other Steve Grubish; and her siblings, Janie Gause, Wayne Strickland (Mary) and Billy Strickland (Sharon). She is also survived by nine nieces and nephews; fourteen great-nieces and great-nephews; ten great-great-nieces and great-great nephews; and many cherished friends.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, May 16th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Burroughs Funeral Home (3558 Old Kings Hwy, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation and the American Kidney Fund.
