He was predeceased by: his parents, John Benton Kirkman and Loretta Bodenheimer Kirkman. He is survived by: his wife Betty Jarvis Kirkman; his brothers, James Franklin Kirkman, Donald Chaffin Kirkman (Sis), Jack Melvin Kirkman and David Phillips Kirkman; his son Brad Kirkman (Debbie) of Murrells Inlet, SC; his grandsons, Brandon (Amanda), Justin (Jessica), Travis (Taylor) and Tom Jones, Jr. (LaNeta) of Clemmons, NC; his great grandchildren, Chris Jones, Carlynn Barefoot (Kevin), Westen, Autumn Barefoot (NC), Olivia McKinley Pace, William Bradley Kirkman (TX) and Avery Grace Kirkman (SC); his niece Donna Kirkman-DuBose; and his sister-in-law Linda Kirkman.
