He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilhelm Meyer and Friedel Meyer; and his daughter Erika. He is survived by: his son Kurt (Teresa Meyer); his wife Wanda Reemes Meyer; his grandchildren, Kristina and Dirk; and his great grandchildren, Mechelle, Bill Cooksey and Jack Goodwin.
