John Joseph DeSimone Obituary
John Joseph DeSimone, born on November 3, 1946, passed away on October 24, 2026. John leaves behind family members and others who acknowledge this loss. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward DeSimone and Nancy Schaeffer DeSimone; his wife Anna Virginia DeSimone; his pets, Bubba and Shiba; his aunt Josephine; his uncle Julio DeSimone; and his sister Jane E. Camarata.
He is survived by: his children, Kelly Byrne of Murrells Inlet, SC, John DeSimone Jr. (Terry) of Pennsylvania and Bruce Byrne of Pennsylvania; and his siblings, Patricia "Patty" DeSimone Roseweir (Andrew Roseweir) and Daniel DeSimone (Beverly). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins; a large, loving, extended family and many supportive friends and neighbors.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Burroughs Funeral Home (3558 Old Kings Hwy, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576). A prayer will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Florence National Cemetery (803 E National Cemetery Rd, Florence, SC 29506).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made in John's name to All 4 Paws, Petigru Lane, Pawleys Island, SC 29585.
