He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest McLaurin Joye and Mary Johnson Joye; his son Richard Scott Joye; and his siblings, Louise Wood, Hazel Rodgers, Will Joye and Homer Joye.
He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Scott Joye of Murrells Inlet, SC; and his grandchildren, John Carlton Joye of Murrells Inlet, SC and Leigh Anne Joye of Houston, TX. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Belin Memorial United Methodist Church (Fellowship Hall) (4182 US-17 BUS, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576).
The family has requested that memorial donations be made in Johnny's name to Belin United Methodist Church.
