Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved John Steppling (Murrells Inlet, South Carolina), who passed away at the age of 66, on May 17, 2025. As John departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though John may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy John leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his father John. He is survived by: his siblings, James Steppling (Nancy), Catherine Dixon (Bill), Robert Steppling (Diana), Mary Steppling and Rose DeRoia. He is also survived by five nephews; and two nieces.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Goldfinch Funeral Home (11528 Hwy 17, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Michael's Catholic Church (542 Cypress Ave, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael's Catholic Church.
