He was predeceased by: his parents, Sebatian Scillia and Evelyn Scillia; and his sister Sharon Piscitelli (Patrick Piscitelli). He is survived by: his wife Colleen (Dwyer); his children, Erin Scillia and Michael (Nicole Scillia); his grandchildren, Desmond of Pompton Plains, NJ and Sadie of Pompton Plains, NJ; his siblings-in-law, Maureen (Dwyer), Martin Reymann, Kathleen (Dwyer), Steven Sedlak and Richard Dwyer; and his nieces and nephews, Patrick, Jodi, Ben, Megan, Kurt, Ashely and Steven.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Burroughs Funeral Home and Cremation Services (3558 Old Kings Hwy, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks for donations to be made to St. Jude's Foundation, a personal favorite of Joe's.
