He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Edward Wroe, Sr. and Ruth Schwanker Wroe; his siblings, Gloria Pierce, Henry and John Wroe; and his stepson Paul Shea.
He is survived by: his wife Janice M. Wroe of Murrells Inlet, SC; his children, Michael Wroe of Watertown, MA, David Wroe of Norwood, MA, Donna Parks (Michael) of Myrtle Beach, SC and Jennifer Riley of Murrells Inlet, SC; his brother Harold Wroe (Patricia); his grandchildren, Duncan, Nathan, Tanner, Declan and Derrik; his stepson David Shea of Waltham; and his stepgrandchildren, Jack and Olivia.
The family has requested that memorial donations be made in Joseph's name to the Dementia Society of America, https://www.dementiasociety.org.
