It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Wernik Dickey (Murrells Inlet, South Carolina), who passed away on January 21, 2026, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Wernik and Margaret Wernik; and her husband Jack Dickey. She is survived by: her children, Reverend Stephen E. Dickey, Sr. (Phyllis Dickey) of Anderson, SC, Judith L. Dickey of Greenville, SC and Michael D. Dickey of Pawleys Island, SC.; her grandchildren, Ashley Dickey Wilson (Andrew Wilson) of Anderson, SC, Rev. Stephen E. Dickey Jr. (Kirstie) of Anderson, SC, Paul D. Kountz III (Jennifer) of Atlanta, GA and Kristin Kountz Hill (Ryan) of Atlanta, GA; and her great grandchildren, Abigail Grace Wilson, Emma Margaret Wilson, Andrew Thomas Wilson, Jr., John Marshall Wilson (Jack), Elijah Stephen Dickey, Cameron Elisabeth Dickey, Claire Christina Dickey, Jack MacArthur Kountz, Charles Francis Kountz, Gregory Joseph Hill and Katherine Judith Hill.
