It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Rachel Lane of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, who passed away on October 3, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Hobart Hall and Ollie Mae Short Hall; her husband Kenneth Lane; and her siblings, Helen Hall, Bernice Fisher, Julius Hall, Charles Hall Jr., Ruby Talton, Marie Harder and Frances Yates.
She is survived by: her children, Derek K. Lane (Janice) of Greensboro, NC, Melodye Lane-Laveglia (Dan) of Surfside Beach, SC and Chris H. Lane (Adrianne) of Ash, NC; her grandchildren, Devin Lane (Amanda), Charlie Lane (Sabrina) and Jordan Lane (Jessica); and her great grandchildren, Griffin Lane, Barrett Lane, Lily Belle Lane, Cameron Lane, Kenzie Evens and Madelyn Evans.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Burroughs Funeral Home & Cremation Services (3558 Old Kings Hwy, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Burroughs Funeral Home (3558 Old Kings Hwy, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576).
