With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Robert Berthiaume (Murrells Inlet, South Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 17, 2026 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Robert farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Robert is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Emile F. Berthiaume and Leone F. Chicoine Berthiaume; and his wife Louise C. Berthiaume. He is survived by: his stepchildren, Tracey Weiland (Steven Weiland) of Murrells Inlet, SC, Scott Negip (Deanna Earl) of Surfside Beach, SC and Lee Negip (Marilyn Negip) of Madison, CT; and his grandchildren, Jason Negip of Murrells Inlet, Vanessa Hatch of Walkertown, NC and Mazzy Weiland of Washington, DC. He is also survived by extended family and many supportive friends and neighbors.
