He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia Boone; his parents, Samuel Boone (Dora Lee Boone) and Dora Lee Boone; his sister Mary "Sissy"; his son Paul Boone; and his grandsons, Chris Eggleston, Andrew Simmons and Hayden Key.
He is survived by: his children, Angie Eggleston (Wayne), Ricky Boone, Cindy Dorsey (Dave), Tammy Britt (Daniel), Patty Ostopowicz (Ed) and Rebecca Whittle (Matt); and his sisters, Lynn and Beverly. He is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Jackson Memorial Funeral Home (315 Main St, Graniteville, SC 29829). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
