We announce the death of Robert Peter Mackey of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, who passed away on June 19, 2026, at the age of 81. He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Mackey and Dorothy E Mackey (LeClair); and his sibling Lynn Applegate. He is survived by: his children, Peter (Kathleen Mackey) of South Kingstown, RI, Scott Mackey of Chaperall, NM and Rebecca Morgan of Manchester, NH; his stepchildren, Christopher Worthley (Christian Clough) of South Portland, ME and Jennifer Chapman of Brownfield, ME.; and his sister-in-law Janet Lajoie (Kimball). He is also survived by eight grandchildren, two greatgrandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
