He is survived by: his wife Christine Vancil; his daughters, Melani Searls (Mark) of Estacada, OR and Amy Cates (Curtis) of Vancouver, WA; his grandchildren, Emily Brateng (Jeb) of Dallas, OR, Kayla Fleshman (Dean) of Silverton, OR, Jarrett Howard (Kayli) of Vancouver, WA, Katelynn Fisher (Dylan) of Vancouver, WA and Corinne Cates of Vancouver, WA; his great grandchildren, Aurelia, Anja, Lyla and Desmond; and his pets, Benji and Mikey.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Palmetto Pointe Church (2901 Fantasy Way, Myrtle Beach, SC 29579). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
