Betty left this world on July 7, 2025 at the age of 80, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Gilbert Stroud and Lethea Boone Stroud; her daughter Brenda Marie Coates; and her siblings, Shirley Faulkenberry, Peggy Williams of Tim Stroud, D. T, Margaret Sims and Effie Bowers.
She is survived by: her children, Melinda Sue Mahaffey and Gary D. Flannigan; and her sister Terry Stroud. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren.
