She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Henry Grady Johnson and Annie Delle Johnson; her husband Don Carmichael; her child Breck Carmichael; her former spouses, Dennis Carmichael of Myrtle Beach, SC and Crystie Carmichael Helms of Myrtle Beach, SC.; her granddaughter Kelsey Carmichael; her friend Adam Brewer; and her caregivers, Janice Frye, Bonnie Greene and Dee Hattersley.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to The First Presbyterian Church of Myrtle Beach, Agape Hospice, or The Make a Wish Foundation.
