He is survived by: his mother Doris Hadfield; his sisters, Wendy and Jennifer (John); his children, Tracy (Adam), Shelly (Evan), Ashley, Kyle (Samantha) and Anthony; and his grandchildren, Bailie, James, Shaun, Jenna, Zachary, Rose, Haidyn, Daltyn, Jonathan, Greyson, Jaxyn and Nolan. He is also survived by numerous aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Melech Ha Olam, earmarked HaMiflaht (which supports the IDF soldiers in the war against Israel) in honor of Don.

“I met Don in Boot Camp and found out he was from South Holland Il illinois and I was from Dolton. We became fast friends. His mother came for visitors day and bought me ice cream. I never forgot that. Don and I caught up via the internet years later. Don was still a friend and my brother. My prayers and sincerest condolences for Don and his loved ones.
