It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ethel M. Hirsch of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, born in Buffalo, New York, who passed away on August 6, 2022, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, George Merkling and Lillian Merkling; her siblings, Raymond Merkling, Charlotte Witzel and June Banaziak; and her daughter Sally Hipp.

She is survived by : her husband Bob; and her children, Susan Flegle (Wayne), Pat Bruce, Robert Hirsch (Donna), Mike Hirsch (Kathy), Karen Shank (Mike) and Nancy Capp (Tedd). She is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
