He is survived by: his wife Cecilia Henry Mims; his daughter Elizabeth Mims Donley (Marshall Owen Donley III); his granddaughters, Margaret Cecilia Donley and Elizabeth Tillotson Donley; his son John Roland Mims (Ashby Brunson Mims); his grandchildren, John Henry Peyre Mims, Roland Bacot Mims and Meriwether Elizabeth Mims; his daughter-in-law Susan Reagan Donley; and his granddaughter-in-law Margaret Katherine Donley.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Trinity Church (3000 N Kings Hwy, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577).
