He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerard S. Thompson Sr. and Dorothy Klug Thompson; his granddaughter Ellyana DeLaTorre; and his siblings, Mary Thompson and Robert Thompson (Linda).
He is survived by: his wife Karen (Edwards); his children, Eileen De La Torre (Ozzy), Stephen G. Thompson and Shannon Thompson-McCarthy (Douglas); his grandchildren, Jevani DeLaTorre and Greyson McCarthy; and his sister Patricia Ippolito (Carmine). He is also survived by his loving sisters-in-laws and brother-in-law, many nieces and nephews, and good friends.
