We bid farewell to Irene Mildred Moody (Myrtle Beach, South Carolina), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on June 27, 2025 at the age of 91. Irene touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Julia Plotnicki Coombs and Samuel Metcalf Coombs; her husband Harold Whitfield Moody Jr.; her son-in-law Michael Lee Shade; and her siblings, Douglas, Arthur, Muriel of England, Samuel, Sydney and Norman of Australia.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Shade, Dianne Foster (Steve), Elizabeth Moody (Steve) and David (Elizabeth); her grandsons, Michael Moody and Philip Foster (Cassie); her great grandchildren, Sophia and Bella Foster; and her sister Barbara Coombs Marshall (England) of Liverpool. She is also survived by three sister- in-laws, one brother-in-law, and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Trinity Church (3000 N Kings Hwy, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Trinity Church of Myrtle Beach.
