He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Thomas and Louise Thomas of Honaker, VA; and his son Neal Thomas of Las Vegas, NV.. He is survived by: his close friend Gloria Bailey; his children, Tammy Lee Davis, Nina Marie Buie, Shannon Ray Ward, Johnny Walker Thomas Jr. and Carl Estil Thomas; his grandchildren, Courtney Ebling, London Buie, Johnny Thomas III and Lily Thomas; and his great grandchild Ella Ebling.
