He was predeceased by: his father James Malcome Purser, Sr.. He is survived by: his mother Ruth Williams Purser; his son David Purser (Jessica); his siblings, Mike Purser (Erica), Mitch Purser Ryan (Mary) and Kathy Sanborn (Bruce); his grandchildren, Brayden, Liam and Taylor; and his pet Tonka. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
A memorial service was held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home (2916 Union Rd, Gastonia, NC 28054).
