He was predeceased by: his parents, Patrick Scarella and Mildred Scarella (Cooke); and his son Daniel. He is survived by: his close friend Hayley Lauritsen; his children, Jolene Scarella of Oakland, CA, Patrick Scarella (Jeanne) of Barrington, RI and Mark Scarella (Lorena) of Fairfield, NJ; his grandchildren, Matthew, Jenna and Emilia; and his sisters, Connie Stevenson of Stamford, CT and Andrea Grabowski of Parker, CO. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Joe's memory to the National Kidney Foundation.
