It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Kay Adkins of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, born in Ashland, Kentucky, who passed away on September 15, 2022, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Guy Polley and Nellie Calhoun Polley; and her siblings, Charles Polley, Don Polley and Donna Polley Caudill.
She is survived by: her children, Guy Darrell Slone (Kathy Slone) of Ashland, KY, Stephanie Whittle (Duane Whittle) of Myrtle Beach, SC and Andrew Adkins (Rodelyn Adkins) of Surfside Beach, SC; her grandchildren, Dr. Adam Slone, Brandon Slone, Amber Clay-Burns, Jamie Buffkin (Adkins) and Daniel Adkins Trautwein; her great grandchildren, Rylan Slone and Easton Slone; and her close friends, Doug, Brenda Calhoun, Evelyn Young, Clara Ross, Besty Arnette and Danée Maynard.
