We announce the death of Joyce McBride (Myrtle Beach, South Carolina), who passed away on October 12, 2026, at the age of 74. Joyce will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Murphy Lee McBride and Rosalee McArthur; her siblings, Mildred Robinson, Lisa Baker, Sarah Potts, Carrie McBride of Maxton, Levern McBride, John McBride of Maxton and Curtis McArthur of Conway; and her grandson Quashaun Bromell of Conway.
She is survived by: her daughter Ann James of Conway; her siblings, Myrtle McBride, Carolyn McBride of Highpoint and Timothy McArthur of Conway; her close friend James Allen Dewitt of Conway; and her grandchildren, Labresha M. Durant of Columbia, Shakera M. Durant of Lumberton, Brianna D. McNeil of Myrtle Beach and Jaylin D. Dantzler of Myrtle Beach. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Viewing was held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Ocean View Funeral Home (1212 Carver St, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577). A funeral service was held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
