With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lindsay Rudolph Nelson (Myrtle Beach, South Carolina), who passed away on May 27, 2025 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Lindsay is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Lindsay's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Logan Benjamin and Bernice Jeffers Nelson; and his children, Pamela Nelson and Carl Nelson. He is survived by: his wife Mary Mangum Nelson; and his sons, Rudy Nelson and James Nelson. He is also survived by six grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, June 1st 2025 from 1:45 PM to 2:50 PM at the McMillan-Small Funeral Home (910 67th Ave N, Myrtle Beach, SC 29572). A funeral service was held on Sunday, June 1st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the James W. Mangum Foundation, 6209 Sancindy Lane, Myrtle Beach, SC 29572.
