“I met Mary Lou when she started at Brookgreen in 2000. I recall the years when her husband Harry was also a docent, and they worked side by side. Along with being a gallery docent, Mary Lou also greeted visitors every Friday in the former Welcome Center. Last year, Mary Lou and I compared our Brookgreen 25 Years of Service pins. I was so impressed by her continued dedication to Brookgreen by driving there on her own each week. What a privilege to have known this lovely and soft spoken woman.”
