It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Metaxia Alford of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, who passed away on April 14, 2022, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Daniel Alford; and her son Robert Paul Alford. She is survived by: her children, Daniel Alford (Janet), Richard Alford (Carolyn), Karen Cooke (Bobby) and Jacquie Sturmer (Barry). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 5 nieces and 2 nephews.

““Taxi lived a wonderful life. She and my mother in law, Estelle Hawkins and 4 traveling companions had so many wonderful adventures. They enjoyed a Hot Air Balloon ride looking down on the African plains, laughed after the monkeys were able to get into their tent and found the treats stashed in the bottom of Taxi's luggage and rode elephants and camels. However, the gift shop at St. Andrew's parish was her passion. Thank you for all your hard work. She will be missed. Dona Hawkins””
