It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Michael Allen Layel (Myrtle Beach, South Carolina), born in Southern Pines, North Carolina, who passed away on March 1, 2024, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Carl Layel and Shirley Edwards; and his son John Michael. He is survived by : his wife Joanne; his children, Tom Layel (Kelley) and Anne Haist (Brion); his siblings, Lisa Reynolds (Tonii), Stephanie Ford (Greg) and Mark Layel; and his grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Kensley Layel, Claire, Samuel, Katherine and Madeleine Haist.
