He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Cocker and Myrtle Cocker. He is survived by: his siblings, Kenneth Cocker (Rosemarie) of Melbourne, Florida and Kathy Sosebee (Monty) of Gastonia, NC; his sons, Brian Cocker (Ashley) of Bessemer City and Chris Cocker (Jessica) of Holden Beach; his grandchildren, Lucas Cocker of Bessemer City, McKenlie Cocker of Holden Beach, Zechariah Cocker of Holden Beach, Raegan Cocker of Holden Beach and Abigail Cocker of Holden Beach; his nieces, Monica Gibson (Rob) and Katie Parrino (Joey); and his nephew Joel Cocker (Carrianne).

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Veterans Welcome Home Resource Center in Little River, SC.
