He was predeceased by: his parents, David B. Scales and Elizabeth Tuttle Scales of Little Falls, NJ.. He is survived by: his wife Joanna; his children, Elizabeth Scales, Jessica Scales Jones (JJ) and Russ Scales (Priscilla); his brothers, David (Judy), Jonathan and Mark (Chrissy); and his grandchildren, Ragen, Carly, Austin, Abbey and Parker. He is also survived by other loving family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family requests that donations be made in honor of Russell G Scales to the Wooten Family Initiative for Brain Health Research at East Carolina University Brody Medical Center. Donations support research related to brain health, specifically Alzheimer's, and other neurodegenerative diseases.
