She was predeceased by: her parents, Dewitt Singletary and Addie Mae Wright Singletary; her siblings, Charles Singletary and Virginia Gaskins; and her grandchildren, Kayla Simmons and Kasey Simmons.
She is survived by: her husband Frank Sproul; her sons, Michael Edwin Simmons (Brooke) of Tabor City and Paul Simmons (Donna) of Tabor City; and her grandchildren, Brandon Simmons, Jeremy Simmons, Jessica Simmons and Turner Simmons. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
