He is survived by: his children, Katelyn Smith, Justin Smith of Tennessee, Anna Smith Hedden (Caleb) of Abbeville and John'Dalton'Bannister of Due West; and his siblings, Michelle Foster (Michael) of Ware Shoals, LeAnn Godwin of Aiken, Walter McCord (Deannie) of Calhoun Falls, Harold McCord (Barbara) of Mauldin and Sam McCord (Angie) of Abbeville.

A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Home of Caleb and Anna Hedden.
